About Eliza Graham

I live in Oxfordshire, with my husband, children and dogs. Passionate about reading and history, I grew up in a London that still bore the scars of the Second World War, with a father and grandmother who had very vivid memories of the Blitz and V1 and V2 rockets. Perhaps that's where my interest in the war came from. Most of my books touch on it, or the years before or ensuing Cold War, often with an emphasis on how family chains are strengthened or shattered by war and violence.

My novels include the bestsellers Playing with the Moon, (my first book, published in 2007), and The One I Was. My books have been translated into German, Norwegian, Italian and Portuguese. I've been long-listed for the Richard and Judy Summer Read, shortlisted for World Book Day Hidden Gem, and nominated for the Costa and Baileys prizes. My latest novel, The Girl from the Fjords, was published in July 2025. You can keep in touch with me via my Facebook author page or sign up to my newsletter at https://www.elizagrahamauthor.com/newsletter.html so I can let you know when my next book comes out.
